Avaprex, which is manufactured by InnerVital, is billed as “the most aggressive diet pill you can buy”, the ingredients being sourced from “the world’s most exotic locations”.
The product itself claimed to “help you lose weight fast and reshape your body easily by melting away flab, fat and cellulite”. Sounds amazing, but are these statements any more than just advertising hype?
How do the ingredients in Avaprex work?
The ingredients are listed on the official product website as:
- Green Tea
- Raspberry Ketone
In addition to these are a proprietary blend (600mg) consisting of Apple Cider Vinegar, Grapefruit, Kelp, Acai Fruit, African Mango and Resveratrol Extract.
Each of these ingredients has been widely used in many existing diet pills, and clinical trials have provided evidence that Raspberry Ketone, Green Tea and Caffeine can be useful weight-loss tools, particularly when combined with a calorie-controlled diet and exercise regime.
Although a list of ingredients is included on the Avaprex website there appear to be a number of flaws. Firstly there is no indication of the quantity of ingredients within the proprietary blend; if only a trace of one or more of these ingredients is included, it is unlikely that it will have a beneficial effect on either weight-loss or nutrition.
Whilst manufacturers are understandably protective about disclosing the precise formula for proprietary blends, failure to specify even the proportion of each ingredient within the blend makes it impossible to assess the product’s effectiveness.
The daily dosages of ingredients are uncertain, as the manufacturer does not make clear whether the quantities of raspberry ketone, green tea and caffeine specified relate to each tablet or daily dosage.
The table of ingredients is headed “Serving Size 2 Capsules”, yet the instructions below the table states “Dosage: Take 1 capsule 30 minutes before breakfast, lunch or dinner with a glass of water.”
So is the manufacturer suggesting that customers take one capsule each day? Or 2? Or 2 at each meal, making 6 each day? Clearly this will make a phenomenal difference in terms of the quantity of ingredients being ingested.
A daily dosage of 300mg raspberry ketones would be about right, whereas 100mg caffeine each day would have only a negligible effect on weight loss, if any. On the other hand, a daily dosage of 300mg caffeine would be on the high side, and 900mg raspberry ketones would be ridiculous!
Either way, there appears to be a discrepancy between the levels of raspberry ketones and caffeine in this product: whatever the manufacturer intended to be the daily dosage of each, one is out of line with general recommendations relating to these ingredients which are based upon scientific research.
What about Avaprex customer reviews?
Just four customer reviews are published on the Avaprex website, three of which award 5 stars, and one 3. The ‘customer’ who awards just 3 stars bases his score upon the fact he has not yet used the product, so no negative comments are made by any user.
At Amazon.com only three customer reviews have been submitted: one awards 5 stars and two award just 1 star. Unsurprisingly, the 5 star customer extols the virtues of this product, whilst the two 1 star customers claim it was a total waste of money and they lost no weight.
- Avaprex contains a number of ingredients which have been scientifically proven to be effective weight-loss tools.
- The manufacturer offers a money-back guarantee, but only where claims are made within 30 days of the order.
- Quantities of Raspberry ketone and caffeine within this product appear to be out of line with recommended daily dosages.
- The lack of information on quantities of ingredients within the proprietary blend make it impossible to accurately assess the effectiveness of Avaprex.
Is Avaprex worth it? Price and where to buy
Available to buy from the official website at $45.98 for 60 capsules this diet pill is not cheap. It contains some useful ingredients, but the manufacturer’s claim that Avaprex is “the most aggressive diet pill you can buy” appears blatently untrue.
Similar ingredients are widely available in other products, many of which disclose precise quantities of ingredients and link to scientific research demonstrating that the quantities in the product are the optimum dosages for health and weight-loss.
Other brands worth considering – Raspberry Ketone Duo
The real star in the ingredient line-up of Avaprex is undoubtedly going to be Raspberry Ketone.
This compound has proved to be one of last years most astonishing breakthroughs in the fight against fat, with the world famous Dr Oz claiming it to be the “Holy Grail of diet supplements”.
The runaway success of Raspberry Ketone was nearly eclipsed by yet another important weight loss discovery of 2013 – Green Coffee bean extract.
Both Green Coffee and Raspberry Ketone are winners in their own right for helping to seriously encourage a faster metabolism. However, when combined, we have had reports and testimonials that show huge amounts of weight lost in a matter of just weeks.
One of the best supplements to take advantage of both of these natural fat burners is Ketone Balance Duo – a perfect blend containing 200mg of each compound.
